The Crash? (A Quebra?)

October 15, 2008 · Leave a Comment

729163_69445788Hello friends.
Olá Amigos,
Have you seen the stock market today? -9,85. I guess that´s enough losses.
Têm visto o mercado de ações hoje? -9,85. Acredito que são perdas suficientes.
It´s not about today losses e yesterday wins, it´s about the way the market is dealing with it.
Is there a ground to step on? Or money is going to turn into dust?
Existe um chão para pisar? Ou o dinheiro virará pó?
It looks like the market has been “beaten down” so much, that´s it´s “bleeding” now to reach the “K.O.”
Countdown has began, and to take the money out of the market after 50% in losses seems to be unrepairable. To leave it there and watch it turn into dust is madness.
Really, is there a way?
Sério, existe um caminho?
The news says it´s not over yet, and has compared the actual economic situation to the Great Depression of 1929. It stopped to be simple comments to turn into real crisis, and that´s a big difference.
Why the mesures taken by governments worldwide hasn´t been effective enough? What else needs to be done? The stock market just looks fragile and weak.

After past good day, market drops again overhead and suffocate investors.

Single-Serving Money (Brazil)

October 13, 2008 · Leave a Comment

Have you followed the stock market lately? Jesus! I thought the 29´s New York crash was back.

How can stocks have an up and down of -10% to 10%? Here in Brazil, that´s how the stock market reacted to the crisis. We had a downside of -20% in a week!

This situation brings it to the point where money can be definetely considered as single-serving.

It´s scary to see how money can drop half its value so fast. To restore it is not so easy.

Websites bring information on the stock market show comments and numbers on the matter, but it´s always followed by a broker ad.

I´ve seen other ways money can be single-serving. It´s just a matter of bad administration, and you´re up in the “rat race” as shown on the book Rich dad, Poor dad by Kiyosaki & Letcher.

If you can´t keep up cash flow positive, it´s easy to see it´s gone. But how to keep up with it?

In a single-serving world, when temporary jobs seem to be fashion, stocks are agressively unstable and trained business personel are meant to chase you by phone and e-mail. How can we keep cash flow positive? And worse, how can the youngsters actually build something in their lives without much worry?

How can you pay the rent, a car, food, and help family, when your salary well-paid is $2500 a month? Just the car will cost at least $700 a month, that´s because it doen´t include insurance and everything else. It´s pathetic.

New business is shaping up today to offer some opportunities. I can see that on Google AdWords.

It´s a business that can´t cut you down, if you offer minimum ROI (Return On Investment). And the best part is, YOU CAN ACTUALLY FEEL LIKE YOUR OWN BOSS!

How incredible is that? It´s not that much, but it´s at least an opportunity to help people who are single-serving employees like myself, but did´t really want to be. One day hired, the next, out.

These types of future business models, will probably tie the hands of successful business men who love to create single-serving jobs, to reduce payments and build low self-steem on their emplyees. Oppression in the business world is not so oppressive anymore for those who learn how to take the right chances.

After the turbulence, market reacts. But how long we have to wait to see money gets back in the bank account?
